Cooking — tools, move buffs, flavors, and Mosslax offerings

Cooking fully refills PP and temporarily powers up specific field moves. You unlock it during the Rocky Ridges story after rescuing Chef Dente (Greedent). Meals tie into exploration stamina, habitat comfort flavors, and daily Mosslax offerings.

Unlock & stations

After Chef Dente joins you, cook at any cooking station. Craft four tools at the Workbench: Cutting Board (Lumber) for salads, Cooking Pot and Frying Pan (Copper Bar) for soups and hamburger steaks, and Bread Oven (Volcanic Ash, Stone, Small Log) for bread.

Pot, pan, and oven need a lit fire or stove—place them near a Campfire.

What eating does

Food restores PP completely and buffs one move line until that boosted PP is spent: salads → Leafage, soups → Water Gun, hamburger steaks → Rock Smash, bread → Cut.

Cooking helpers

Nearby specialty Pokémon change results: Chop for shredded salads, Crush for crushed berry salads, Burn for bread bowls. Keep the helper following you or placed beside the station.

Flavors & comfort

Dishes carry Sweet, Sour, Spicy, Bitter, Dry, or neutral flavor. Gift matching flavors to raise habitat comfort. Mosslax (after Bleak Beach quest “Brighten Things Up!”) accepts one plate per day; buff lasts until 5:00 AM and depends on dominant flavor—Dry helps Ho-Oh/Lugia feathers, Spicy boosts habitat spawns, Sweet helps Mysterious Slates in the wasteland.
