Ice farming — Palette Town cave, Rock Peak Dream Island, and Freezing Chambers

Ice is scarce compared with stone—it only appears in a couple of confirmed places. You need 50 Ice for the Freezing Chambers construction that brings Articuno, so reserve your stock for that build before spending Ice on decoration.

Confirmed Ice locations

The main source is a hidden cave behind the waterfall on the east side of Palette Town. Walk toward the Glow Mushroom on the right side of the falls to enter a passage; the inner chamber holds many Ice blocks and Crystal Shards, and the room respawns, making it the best restock spot.

A secondary source is Rock Peak Dream Island (Drifloon travel with a Clefairy Doll). Ice blocks sit inside the central rocky structure. Yields are smaller than the Palette Town cave but worth collecting when you are already on the island for other materials.

Freezing Chambers (Articuno)

The main spend for Ice is the Freezing Chambers kit—the large construction that causes Articuno to appear. The kit itself is on the eastern island where you first arrive in Palette Town.

Clear and flatten a wide area before placing the kit; construction takes about one in-game day and needs a large crew.

After the chambers are built

Articuno appears inside once construction finishes. It prefers a cool environment—place cool-type furniture nearby to raise comfort.

Prioritize the Palette Town cave when you need a full 50 Ice in one run. Use Rock Peak as a bonus stop, not your primary route. Do not decorate with Ice until the Articuno build is secured.
